Paternal Mental Health
Treatment and Therapy
Fathers
Statistics say that 1 in 10 men suffer from postpartum depression, however the more accurate truth is that 10 out of 10 men go through a significant life change when having a child. The transition into parenthood can be difficult even if it does not seem so at first. I often say- “if your cup is full, even one more drop will cause it to overflow.” Difficulties may arise shortly after having a child or several years later. Seeking therapy as a father can help you to feel better, communicate better with your partner, cope with the difficult parts of parenthood, and ultimately give more to your family.
